Clearly state what users will achieve by the end of the training to set expectations and prepare them for the process.
Agenda
Another way to prepare users for the training ahead is to give them an idea of the time each section will take in a clear agenda.
You can save space on the Confluence page by putting the Overview and Agenda sections in tabs, as seen in our template.
Modular content
Break topics into digestible sections and steps, accommodating different learning styles and busy schedules. Checklists help learners keep track of their progress and easily pick up where they left off.
Resources
Provide links to additional materials such as readings, websites, and contacts, enabling learners to explore further information as needed.
Key takeaways
Restating the objectives set at the start of the training page as key takeaways reinforces the learning and offers encouragement once the reader has reached the end of their training. It also offers them a chance to realise they’ve missed a section or want to redo any parts of the training.
Instructions for feedback
Allow your readers to offer feedback on the course with a section giving instructions to do so. You can allow readers to give feedback directly on the page by giving them editing access, or provide contact information in this section so they can send their feedback to wherever it can be collected.
Sign off
Finally, remember to congratulate them at the end of the page! A visual banner, made with a background macro, is a great way to do this.
